The very most fashionable of items at the time, fobs were worn by both men and women, often tucked at the waist. This would make a touchingly sentimental gift for your loved one.
A handsome and petitely sized antique Georgian fob seal set with a foiled Rock Crystal and Amethyst, these accompanied by a hand carved intaglio lion to the third side. Ornamented with all the delightful Georgian stylery which we love, the central 18ct yellow Gold form still has the residue of 22ct Gilding.
Stones: Hand carved Rock Crystal laid over foil, Amethyst over foil and hand carved Carnelian (please notice the damage to the intaglio.
Metal: 18ct Gold. The chain is Silver gilded with 18ct Gold and measures 18 inches.
Measurements: one inch high.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
