Antique Recycled Hand Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

So Precious! The most unique and love-ly antique engagement ring! This is a jewel with a most intriguing past; as so oft in antique rings: the bringing together of elements which once held meaning and sentiment to create anew.

The olden Diamond itself was recycled when this beautiful ring was made. It is uncertificated but of a very lovely quality, being nicely clean and the palest Champagne hue in comparison to the slightly whiter shoulder stones. The cutting style is one which dates back a number centuries being first seen in the 1600's. It has a cushion shape and larger facets which display flashes of sparkle rather than the dazzle of modern laser cut Diamonds. Expressing a timeless and natural beauty, the design is simplicity itself with just a hand cut Platinum coronet to display the olden gem, accented by wide Platinum lined shoulders set with further antique cut Diamonds, all creating a most audacious sparkle!!

Stones: antique hand cut natural Diamonds. The centre stone measured at 0.75ct judged in the setting using a Schindler gauge; the shoulder stones measured as 0.16 and 0.10ct to each side. The combined weight of the whole at 1.27ct. 

Metal: The band is of 18ct Gold and was marked as such in the workshop (stamp inside band). The setting is of Platinum, for strength and brightness. Weighs 4.25 grams.

Ring Size: O and a half or 7.25 but it is possible to adjust this by a size or so each way. This is a free service, just leave a message on your order form.

Measurements: the front face of the ring measures 2cm across and so perhaps not suitable for a very small hand.
