A fine delicacy, this antique Victorian Cannetille set dress ring would once have had a most special place in a girls heart! Circa 1870's, this style of 'historical revival' ring was very fashionable, following a revival of ancient techniques such as Cannetille (wirework) and Grainti (beadwork).
The contrasting hues of the green Emeralds and hot pink Spinels are gorgeous; both gems are foiled to enhance their vibrancy and mounted in rich 15ct yellow Gold, they really pop!! A ring to wear with care as it's likely her original owner did little in the way of chores; this has allowed her to survive to this day.
We believe the band has been replaced/strengthened at some time. The size is an 'N' or '6.75' as is but could be altered a little to suit.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
