In the style of the Georgian fichu pin, this later Victorian version is unusual in that it is glassed to both sides as it opens to the back with a hinged compartment. Cute! All in rosy 9ct Gold, you could wear this piece on a necklace or as a brooch and place your precious treasure.... a scrap of fabric, photo or miniature painting inside. The pretty grey/pink Pearls to the frame are wild sea Pearls and their gentle natural beauty signifies a certain sentimentality. Measures an inch lengthwise and it still contains the original card and silk.
