A scarce strand of hand made art glass beads made in Geislingen, Germany in the 1920's/30's by Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF). These antique lampwork art glass beads reflect the fashionable Bauhaus aesthetic perfectly; each in its own right a work of art... lined with Silver, the swirls and and glow beat appreciated when held to the light. Between each are angular resin and metal beads which add to the industrial vibe.
The glass was likely of Bohemian origin and assembled in their workshops. Each is lined and the whole necklace threaded upon chain as the beads are quite substantial in weight.
A nice piece for the Art Deco enthusiast.
Stones: hand blown Art Glass beads.
Metal: worn Silvered brass.
Measurements: they measure 17 inches in length; the largest bead 18mm across.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
