A handsomely red Jasper speckled Bloodstone signet ring hailing from 1869 and made by the workshop of Matthew Linwood of Birmingham in the heraldic style on a plain band complimenting the simplicity of the setting; an 'historical' style which was the very epitome of taste at the time. Reflecting an interest in indigenous 'pebbles', Scottish Agate jewellery was very fashionable and especially so after Queen Victoria bought her Balmoral estate.

On close inspection there are a few dinks to the back of the band as it is of wax filled hollow construction as was sometimes the custom at the time. This is of no detriment and we have priced accordingly.

Stones: nicely speckled Bloodstone, newly re-polished. Historically known as Heliothrope.

Metal: The mount is of 9ct Gold, hallmarked in 1869 at the Birmingham Assay Office

Ring Size: The ring size unfortunately can't be altered as it is of hollow construction. It measures as an 'Q.5' or '8.25' as is.

Measurements: The panel measures 12.3mm lengthwise. The band measures 5.4mm wide.
