An distinguished antique heraldic style signet ring in shield shape and set with a delicious layered Sardonyx (which when carved with a design will show the darker layer contrasted against the pale surface). In impeccable condition for its age, the shoulders are ornamented with scrolling leafery, fitting for a ring destined to hold a family crest. Of heavy 18ct yellow Gold, the Birmingham hallmark was struck in 1922 and the maker's mark 'S.U.Ltd' which we believe is Solomon Ullman, a jeweller who had premises in Hatton Garden, London.
A ring size 'Z' or '12.5', but we can alter to fit in our workshop.
