A rare antique 18ct yellow Gold wedding band with a distinctive Glasgow thistle Assay hallmark for 1914 (closed in 1964, Glasgow was one of the smaller offices) and also the maker's mark for James Weir of Buchanan Street in Glasgow who seems to have been a known maker of Arts and Crafts Silver wares too.
A lovely smooth and familiar feel on the finger, it measures 3.5mm in width and inside there is a sweet hand engraved personal dedication, 'W.K.B, & A.S 1915'. A beautifully understated and meaningful ring. The size is an 'M' or '6' as is and ideally we'd not alter although one or two sizes might be achieved.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift. You can download our handy ring sizing guide here, but don't hesitate to contact us if you need further help with this. If visiting us size adjustments can usually be done in around an hour-ish.
