Effervescent Vintage 1.80ct Hand Cut Diamond Ring

A vision of utter loveliness! Resplendent with five old hand cut beauties, elegantly tapered in size to the edges of the finger, this vintage five stone ring makes a really glittery statement on the hand. A traditional half hoop of sparkly old Diamonds, over the centuries this style has always been a popular one. Each of the charming old stones is hand cut (dating to the mid 19th century and having been re-used in this ring), and one can see the shaping of the natural crystal in their faceting, quirky and chunky from the profile as these splendid old gems are. We have measured them in their setting and judge the combined weigh to be around 1.80ct. Dating to the mid 20th century, the whole is nicely hand made and on close inspection our magnified photographs show the tiny saw and file marks to the ornamental Platinum coronet gallery. The band of 18ct yellow Gold is in lovely condition with little discernible wear, and this design is one which sits neatly against a wedding band, the ring size measures at 'Q' or '8' but could be altered to suit for free in our workshop.
