A rare and lovely antique natural Ruby and Diamond ring in an unusual crossover design which has echoes of the ever-popular snake ring. All in 18ct yellow Gold, hand crafted and dating to the early years of the 20th century, this would make a most special birthday anniversary ring.
The gems are of the most sublime quality, being both bright and clean; the Rubies in particular of the finest, deepest and most desirable Pigeons Blood red and both gems have the most gorgeous sparkly presence.
We love how he setting is smoothly pressed over the gems as this makes it easy to wear, quite one of the nicest Ruby rings we've seen in a while.
Stones: natural hand cut Rubies and Diamonds
Metal: 18ct yellow Gold. Tested but marked only with a workshop stamp '18CT' as was custom at the time. A maker's mark for Charles Green & Son of Tenby Street in Birmingham.
Note: Charles S Green & Co Ltd (see CSG&Co mark) was founded by Charles Stevenson Green, a grandson of the original Charles Green, who split from this company c1904 when it was run by his brothers, Lionel Augustus and Roland Green.
Ring Size: N or 6.75 as is but suitable to alter for fit by a couple of sizes each way. This is a free service, just leave a message on your order form.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
