A super all original antique Victorian 'Albert' watch chain fully hallmarked for 1893 on the T bar. Measuring 14 inches in length, the link is pleasingly graduated from the centre so that the extremities are finer, creating an elegant line when worn. Every link is stamped and the whole has a stunning greyed patina, but can be polished up to a nice shiny finish if so desired. The fob end holds a lucky silver Victoria head sixpence dated 1887.
This watch chain would have been everyday wear at the time it was made but their wear died out after wristwatches became fashionable in the 1920's. Fortunately it survived and is all ready to wear for a bit of quirky traditional style and capture admiring glances whenever worn.
