Circa 1750's, a fascinating historical Iberian tassel ornament set throughout with Rose cut Diamonds and a single olden Table-cut Diamond. Just splendid! Once a component of a much larger bodice jewel, or possibly an attachment to an earring, this courtly jewel speaks of an elevated position amongst the well-to-do of the Continental palaces. Entirely crafted by hand, the be-ribboned arrangement is quite the prettiest and we feel this olden jewel could have a new life as a single earring, or pendant. All the gems are faceted by hand in the native way as at the Indian mines and there is a fixing to the reverse for attachment, articulated at the join between the sections and also the three central tassels, it moves very nicely.
