Georgian Specimen Agate Riviere Style Necklet
Reworked in our workshop from a broken Georgian Pinchbeck and Agate bracelet, this antique riviere styled necklet in an archaeological mood makes a wonderful statement. Lying around the base of the neck as was the fashion at the time, there are sections of both natural Scottish Agate and Glass and we feel this arrangement reflects very well the type of jewels that were worn circa 1820. The beaded Pinchbeck sections are linked with base metal rings all fastened at the nape of the neck with a floaty length of ochre hued pure silk ribbon.
Stones: some natural Agates and some Glass.
Metal: Pinchbeck and base metal rings
Measurements: the collarette measures 8 inches across and is adjustable in length tying with ochre hued pure silk ribbons.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift. You can download our handy ring sizing guide here, but don't hesitate to contact us if you need further help with this. If visiting us size adjustments can usually be done in around an hour-ish.
