Circa 1820's and nicely hand made, this antique mourning brooch is dedicated to the memory of a once beloved. Sweetly floral shaped to express the sorrow of the wearer, the backpiece homing the rock crystal section which holds a plaited section of hair. These pieces are so touching, their existence an intimate expression of the depth of emotion felt in his loss and were worn on the fichu close to the heart.
In high carat gold which we haven't tested due to concerns marking the piece, it measures an inch lengthways. Read our BLOG about Fichu pins here.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
