A fabulous and fanciful antique locket dating to the latter 19th century and very likely of French origin. Designed to resemble a reliquary, it is of gilded base metal but even so has been lavished with great skilled care and presents a striking ornament. To one side is a plaque of beautifully fine Moss Agate, and to the other Tiger's Eye. Really unusual! Entirely intact, the two frames remain inside to hold two precious images or keepsakes.
It measures around an inch excluding the fanciwork bale and is suspended from the original curb link chain which measures 20 inches and closes with a nice barrel clasp.
A super and original choice as a gift for a special occasion which has the joy of being entirely ethically sound; we will present in a quality velveteen lined box.
