Perfectly imperfect, this very ornate trio of antique Georgian fobs dates to around 1820 when they were the literally the trendiest wear by all who could afford them. Oft worn at the waist on a longuard chain or ribbon, they showed the world your social and literary prowess at a time when correspondence was of the utmost importance. The tiny stamp being used to add a special significance to your wax sealed letters, it translates as 'I shall Return'.
They have lots of evidence of wear and repair, but even so, you know us.... we like to see potential interest and significance in every little piece of human history. On the original split ring, all show a faded gilt finish; the two smaller fobs being some of the tiniest we've ever seen: measuring 1.5cm
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
