Much Desired Beauty!! Vintage Diamond Engagement Ring

An adorable antique creation showcasing a precious and mesmerising old Mine-cut Diamond. A romantically flickering beauty, engagement rings such as this much sought after and seen much less oft these days. A poetic dream upon the finger and so special to rehome this old beauty (which itself recycled this gorgeous olden hand cut Diamond when made) which takes us travelling back down the centuries to a time of Diamonds twinkling in the candlelight of dimly lit rooms.

The shoulders too are sprinkled with a melee of chunky little antique hand faceted Diamonds and the whole jewel is hand crafted, and with a careful eye and skilled hand in 18ct White Gold (to the band) and with a fine Platinum coronet to the setting and a touch along the shoulders to highlight the accent gems.

We haven't unset the quirkily cut olden Diamond but are secure in saying it measures as around .75ct and is of the most breathtakingly beauteous quality (see our magnified photographs). We judge the colour to be around an I/J and SI1 or better as on very close inspection with a 10x loupe we can see only the tiniest carbon inclusion. The stone has its own very twinkly personality being cut in harmony with the natural Diamond's shape (see our images for an example of the kind of facet pattern you'll see in Old Mine Cut Diamonds) and with less sophisticated tools than are available nowadays, but for us this is where the interest lies... in holding that piece of history!
