A classic antique Georgian oval signet ring, dating from around the 1830's, and perfect as an heirloom on which to engrave your family crest. The black Onyx is smoothly flat (with small natural inclusions to the surface) and has a tactile warmth which is quite lovely, the band itself fluted with a classical trifurcated stirrup which is typical of rings of the period. The plaque measures 17mm by 13mm.
Testing as 18ct yellow gold, we believe there is the remnants of French marks to the back of the ring. The ring size is 'Q' or US '8'.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
