Pristine Perfection Georgian 'DHW' Pearl Ring
Lovingly preserved for over two centuries, this antique Georgian band dates to the reign of George lll. Handed down over the generations, the memory of the original owner lost to time, it would be a wonderful thing to find this old beauty a new home. Circa 1800 and having vestiges of the Neo Classical style which was so fashionable at the time in the ribbed frame to the Pearls, the wide band of 18ct Gold has hand pierced scrolled open work to the sides which add to the romance of the central locket which holds a precious braided lock of hair and the skilfully hand cut gold monogram 'DHW'. Likely a treasured sentimental jewel the panel is framed by a border of eighteen half rare natural Pearls creating a most beautiful halo effect. Really quite a wonder! The ring size is a 'Q and a half' or '8.25' and unfortunately can't be altered.
