Sentimental Georgian Rose Cut Diamond & Enamel Ring

The daintiest beauty capturing the timeless essence of love and sentimentality perfectly and almost two centuries later can be held in the hand, those feelings as alive today and just as affecting. A scarce and captivating find, this poignant antique Forget-me-not ring is in really lovely condition for her age. Just the tiniest few scratches to the enamel but only visible on close inspection. The gentle ovalled central panel is enamelled in rich Royal Blue enamel and studded with a tiny rose-cut Diamond set 'Forget-me-not' bloom, symbolising remembrance, the whole framed with a twinkling border of 26 miniature hand cut Diamonds.

Circa 1830's/40's, the whole is crafted in 18ct yellow Gold and is a tour de force of the artisans work, with extremely fine hand pierced Rococo scrollwork to the shoulders and a slightly faded hand engraved detail to the band, It is possible perhaps that we could size a wee bit, but as is it measures an 'O' or '7'. The central panel measures 12mm by 9mm and backs to a removable glassed compartment.
