A splendid hand carved Sardonyx ‘nicolo’ intaglio crest ring, a fabulous piece to wear as a personal statement, the crest depicts a crowned shield with chevron and an arm in sinister with three arrows alongside a lion rampant. Such a piece could become a precious family heirloom. The crest is carved nicolo style through the layers of the stone and reveals the darker red underlayer allowing the design to stand out to handsome effect.
Set in 18ct yellow Gold, this nicely weighty piece has a wonderful satiny patina, the wide band tapers from 6mm to 16mm at the face. A ring size 'Q' or '8' it is possible to adjust the size a wee bit for fit, we may be able to do this for free but the price depends upon how much Gold we need to add. The intaglio measures 12mm by 14mm. Weighs 10.45 grams.
