The MOST splendid and audacious antique Silver and Paste French buckle! Hailing from a world of candlelit balls and high hair, this jewels is one of what would have been a pair of glamorous shoe buckles. This would make a wonderful and unique addition to your wedding outfit, on a sash at the waist or holding a ribbon or ruffle at the bosom. The whole is in quality Silver with French assay marks to the plate and is set in the Georgian style with foil backed hand cut Paste gems, so much craft in it's creation! It would be wonderful if this old jewel could find it's way to a new love.
Measures just over two inches across and has all it's original fittings for holding the fabric.
