Remaining in very good condition, this tenderly loved antique mourning locket is most beautifully and very skilfully hand enamelled in black and white with a fabulous design of lilies around the central Gold cross emblazoned with the banner 'In Memoriam'. A touching dedication to one loved and lost, keeping memories safe and close to the heart, this piece would make a most precious gift. Fashioned in a mellow shade of 9ct yellow Gold 'back and front' meaning that the frame and hinges are of brass for strength, the back is sweetly engraved with Rococo ornamentation.
Measures 3cm by 2.5cm and opens to hold two precious images held safe by their original frames.
