Circa 1890's and capturing the affection symbolised by the Swallow, a sign of Spring and eternal LOVE, these two birds playfully chase each other in a swoop over the Pearl studded pin. A popular motif at the time, jewels such as this were oft given as tokens of fondness and esteem. All crafted in 15ct yellow Gold (a standard used solely in Britain from 1854-1932) and set with a multitude of teeny, tiny lustrous Seed Pearls and minute 'Ruby' cabochon eyes, this piece measures 5.5cm end to end. The fine toughened Steel pin is likely a replacement. We can probably find an old box for you to gift this piece suitably.
If you'd like to pay for this piece in instalments, our Layaway Terms can be read here.
