A simple 9ct Gold setting for this pair of vintage Angel Skin Coral drops. Ivory with just the faintest blush of pink, their delicate colouring is sought after and seen in high end jewellery. Disappearing ocean gems:
Pale pink and white "Angel Skin Coral" refers to a highly prized, rare variety of Coral (Pleurocorallium elatius) found in the seas off of Japan. It has a delicate, creamy pink to white, often marbled hue. Fishing and harvesting are strictly regulated due to scarcity.
Stones: palest pink natural Coral
Metal: 9ct yellow Gold (tested but unmarked)
Measurements: 3cm from the top of the wires; the drops measure 2cm
In most case the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
