A strand of vintage 1950's era graduated natural branch shaped Coral beads. Classic in style, this design of simple necklet was very popular over the centuries as the branch design is one sympathetic to the Corals' natural shape and jewellery made from Coral sourced in the Mediterranean was often bought home as a memento of a visit to Italy.
The peachy hued beauties have a tender blossom and gloss to their colour and flatter the skin so nicely, we believe them to be Sciacca Coral from Sicily, a variety of the Corallium Rubrum species. Measuring 15 inches finished length so sitting closely around the base of the throat, these have been restrung and each beads is knotted for safety, closing with a base metal fish hook style safety clasp. Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
