A stunning tour de force of beautiful hand carved wonder, this antique Crystal Opal and Diamond ring dates to the latter 19th century and its design is influenced by the romance of the Arts & Crafts Movement. Of superior quality, the magical rainbow gems were newly available from Australia around the 1880's; much desired and highly fashionable.
The whole hand crafted including the coiling 'branches' of the carved setting which support the Opals; gently graduated in size to the edges of the finger; the whole a perfectly balanced work of art.
100% hand crafted and an ethical (as well as original) choice, a ring such as this holds a special place in the circular economy, bring delight to a new heart over a century later...
Stones: natural Crystal Opals and rose-cut Diamonds.
Metal: 18ct yellow Gold with a workshop stamp '18CT' and maker's mark 'H W'. Weighs 5.34 grams.
Ring Size: O and a half or 7.25 as is but suitable to alter for fit. This is a free service, just leave a message on your order form.
In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
