Circa 1960's, a classic and beautifully radiant floral cluster of a cornflower blue Ceylon Sapphire framed by superior quality brilliant-cut Diamonds. Magical and very romantic, the arrangement expressing a perfect contentment in symmetry and colour, this piece is in wonderful condition and ready to make someone very happy! The central Sapphire measures at around a carat (judged by dimensions) and is a native cut, likely faceted at the mines in Sri Lanka. A Platinum setting to the gems is prettily detailed with fine beaded edging and the sweet hand cut sepal-like gallery in 18ct yellow Gold all shows the skill in the artisans work. Marked inside the band with British stamps for '18CT' and 'PLAT', the ring size measures at an 'O' or '7.25' but could be altered to suit for free.
The Diamonds measure at 0.05ct each (a combined weight of 0.50ct), the Sapphire 1ct. The cluster measures 1mm by 14mm.
