This fab vintage Wedgewood ring holds a marquise shaped plaque of the goddess Artemis finely modelled in Wedgewood Blue and white Stoneware and mounted in golden 9ct yellow Gold.
In the Neoclassical taste, this piece makes a really distinctive statement and would be an original gift as she is considered to be associated with powerful womanhood;
In Ancient Greek religion and mythology Artemis is the goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals nature, vegetation, childbirth and care. In later times, she was identified with Selene, the personification of the Moon. She was often said to roam the forests and mountains, attended by her entourage of nymphs. The goddess Diana is her Roman equivalent.
With an English workshop stamp for '9ct GOLD' inside the band, she is a ring size 'O' or '7' as is we are able to alter in size to suit.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
