Georgian Revival Rose Cut Diamond Ring

An antique revivalist Georgian style hand cut Diamond three stone ring. Crafted in celebration of design which was seen in the latter 18th century with hand cut stones which do in fact date to the 18th century and were recycled in the making of this ring. 

The olden stones are cut with larger facets and possess the quiet, glinty glimmer which typifies these period Diamonds, and are laid (in the traditional manner) over silver foils as they are flat backed; the foils increasing their scintillation. The centre is beautifully ovalled in shape and so interesting: each of the hand wrought triangular shaped facets judged by the skill of a Diamond cutter some two hundred odd years ago... cut in times before electricity and modern technology and set in the Georgian style in Silver pie crust collets.

The setting is of darkened Silver, with the decorative band of 18ct yellow Gold; a mystical union.

Ring Size: O and a half or 7.25 as is but unsuitable to alter. 

In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
